LLM SEO and SEO automation
“LLM SEO” is used for two different things: getting cited by language models, and using language models to do SEO work. This page is about the second, and specifically about link building, the part of SEO automation that bulk tools got a bad name for.
Why the old automation failed
Bulk link software posted the same text to thousands of sites, ignored what each site required, and never checked the result. The links were nofollow, unindexed, or deleted within a week, and the sites that accepted them became worthless.
What an agent does differently
An LLM-driven SEO agent reads a site’s method the way a person would: it knows a profile field takes a URL while an article needs three hundred words; it fills the sign-up form with one consistent identity; it asks you in the chat at a captcha or a verification code and continues once it is cleared, or reads the code itself from a connected inbox; and it opens the public page afterwards to confirm the hyperlink, the anchor and whether the link is nofollow. Every link is logged with proof. Quantity is limited by what is genuinely available, which is the point.
ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor as the SEO tool
SEO Agent is an MCP server, so the same library and playbooks work in any of them. Claude Code and Cursor can drive a browser and build the links; ChatGPT through connectors can plan, search and verify with the hosted engine doing the building on login-free sites. See Claude SEO and Cursor SEO.
Start
pip install seo-agent
claude mcp add seo-agent -- seo-agent
Then ask for a plan for your URL and keywords, and let the agent work through it.
